Mold Remediation

We provide mold remediation services tailored to individual homeowners, the construction industry, large-scale residential and industrial complexes, schools, hotels, and a variety of other facilities. We will work with you to address the specific mold, asbestos, or lead issues present in your particular environment.

Mold Sampling

The American Industrial Hygiene Association recommends mold sampling when the source of the contamination is unclear, if allergic reactions or disease associated with mold is suspected, if litigation is involved, and for clearance purposes associated with a remediation in order to ascertain that mold readings have been brought back down to the natural background levels. Here at NorthLake we are glad to perform mold sampling when it is required by the above noted conditions.

Even when sampling is preformed, it is not always possible to correlate the specific spore with an individual's symptom as everyone has a different level of exposure that his or her immune system reacts to. This is called a dose response relationship, and for the thousand's of mold in existence, this relationship is not well characterized. While there are guidelines associated with what are considered elevated of mold usually in comparison to an outdoor background for air samples (which changes from day to day); there are currently no AIHA threshold limit values (TLV's) or OSHA personal exposure limits (PEL's) for mold in part due to the uncertainty of what the results mean.
